Clueless

via

Yep, that's me...

I have thought this whole time I have been blogging, that when I replied to a comment on a post here on my blog the person I replied to actually received the reply via email or blogger or something. Grrrrrr...

Well, really, it's only been a few months. But still.

Why does it show that you can reply to a comment, but the person doesn't receive the reply?

Help me out here ladies {and gents, if you exist in my blogosphere}. Am I doing something wrong?

And please, if you follow me or have ever left a comment, please please please, know that I have made efforts to reply to every single one! I just did it wrong apparently.

From now on, I think I will reply directly to the person's email instead - unless they are the famous "noreply-comment" - then it's blog reply time.

P.S. Sadly, "blogosphere" is already in spellcheck? Really?

  1. I have not figured that one yet either.I just replay through my email because that is where they are sent.At least I don't think it is set up that way LOL.See you are not the only one.

  2. Hey Dori!

I think notification that there is a reply to your comment is something unique to Wordpress and other non-Blogger blogs. I know it's an option I have to manually select when I comment on one of these.

I prefer to have a reply through email though because I read so many posts each day. It's hard to keep track of which posts to go back and check whether the author read and replied. Personally, I think it feels more like a conversation when the blogger replies specifically to me :)

    Just my 2 cents!

  3. It's so silly. Seems like they could have worked out that kink by now. Now following back!

  4. With Blogger you need to manually put in their email if you want it to go to their inbox :(

    Ah well!

Thanks for stopping by the weekend blog walk!
